I Prayed I Could Lie With You (poem)

I prayed I could lie with you

under the cherry blossoms

when winter had fallen

and my heart had awakened to spring.

Next to the river water,

the gloss of your eyes

captured in moonlight,

as you used every word you knew

to speak your soul into mine.

I prayed I could lie with you

so I could touch the shadows of your skin,

to leave marks on your neck

to tell the stars you were mine;

To taste salt from your skin

no one else had known,

and breath from your lungs

no one else had heard.… Read the rest >>> “I Prayed I Could Lie With You (poem)”

Inhale (poem)

Temptation was the inhale.

There was charcoal in his eyes, ashes from the darkness burning within him. And the longer I held his gaze, the clearer I saw my own sins – my demons no longer hiding.

As he approached, I was breathless from his squared shoulders and narrowed eyes, as if the lust aching under my skin was a challenge to be conquered. His musk dark and leather, he controlled my senses; every sound drowned out from his lips parting.… Read the rest >>> “Inhale (poem)”

Addiction (poem)

The addiction was enough for me.

Only in short bursts, of course, because the pleasure of addiction wasn’t sustainable, and it was ungratifying even when it was.

No – addiction could only be delicious in small bursts of wanting, the ache of desire fermented just long enough to mature into something worth fulfilling.

If the desire hadn’t matured – if it hadn’t begun the process of breaking down within its host – then there was no need to pacify it.… Read the rest >>> “Addiction (poem)”

Valentine’s Scavenger Hunt (Special scene with Julian of T5P)

I yawned in the least sexy way possible.

“Why are we up this early?” I whined.

Julian pursed his lips. I wondered how he had the energy to be annoyed with me so early in the morning.

“I leave back to Aujina tomorrow,” he said with a frown. “You should be happy to spend as much time as possible with me before my departure.”

“Can’t I be happy and asleep at the same time?”… Read the rest >>> “Valentine’s Scavenger Hunt (Special scene with Julian of T5P)”

Mountain Sweets (Special Scene with Evann of T5P)

“I didn’t think you’d want to go so high,” Evann said with a coy smile.

I bounced up the trail, the cold mountain air biting my nose along with the forest scents of bark and untouched ground. The streams had dried, but their skeletons were just as beautiful, showing us the pathway up the winter mountain.

I smiled back as I tried to catch my breath.… Read the rest >>> “Mountain Sweets (Special Scene with Evann of T5P)”

Champagne and Hot Wings (Special scene with Nikos of T5P)

“How have you never been ice skating before?” Nikos asked, laughing at me as I tried to put on the ice skates.

I frowned at him. “I’m from California, dude. This is not one of our pastimes.”

I stood, trying to get steady on my feet. It didn’t work. I fell face flat in the snow, the bitter snow biting my lips and nose as Nikos stood over me and laughed.… Read the rest >>> “Champagne and Hot Wings (Special scene with Nikos of T5P)”

A New Year’s Wish (Special scene with Tai of T5P)

“Is it always this crazy?” I shouted to Tai over the chaotic crowd.

“Of course I am!” Tai yelled back with a wink.

“No, not you! The New Year’s Parade!”

Tai gripped my hand tight as we made our way through the crowds lining the streets of the capital of Aujina. It had been some time since I had visited this country, but I didn’t remember there being so many people in it.… Read the rest >>> “A New Year’s Wish (Special scene with Tai of T5P)”

A Christmas Kiss (Special Scene with Cyrus of T5P)

“You’re a princess, my dear. You know you don’t need to do things like this yourself, don’t you?”

I smiled as I handed Cyrus the gigantic wad of Christmas lights, watching him cringe under the weight of it.

“Yes, I know,” I replied. “But Mom and Dad hired people to decorate the grand hall, the ballroom, the parlors, the meeting rooms, and the foyer… I can do my own bedroom.”… Read the rest >>> “A Christmas Kiss (Special Scene with Cyrus of T5P)”

Winter (thoughts)

“In the depth of winter, I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer.” – Albert Camus

There’s nothing I love in winter. It demands too much and cares too little.

It snowed heavily in Seoul yesterday. For the first part of my day, this was of little inconvenience. I woke up near noon, poured myself an iced mocha despite the chill, and finished Haruki Murakami’s book, Men Without Women. I… Read the rest >>> “Winter (thoughts)”
